Societal constellations

Societal constellations have emerged from the work of family and organisational constellations, expanding the methodology from an exploration of personal issues to those of the wider collective field. In these ‘collective’ constellations, we don’t attempt to bring about shifts in the systems which we explore. In doing that we would be assuming too much power. However, the work can give us helpful new perspectives on an issue, as well as insight into what is really blocking change.

Societal constellations work on the same principles as other formats, with an issue holder and representatives, or witnesses, although in some cases the issue may be introduced, and held, by more than one participant. Elements introduced might be abstract or archetypal e.g. Government, Capitalism, Future Generations, Planetary Burnout or Social Media to name but a few.

Examples of themes which might be explored include:

  • What is stopping us from moving the homeless off the streets?

  • What is blocking a shift to a four-day working week as standard?

  • What does Nature think we should do about financial accounting standards?

  • New perspectives on societal issues

  • A shift from personal to collective consciousness

  • Insights into what is really blocking change in your own sphere of work

  • Cross-sector connection with other changemakers

Sessions are offered on Zoom on Wednesdays 09:00-10:30 UK time, weekly from Wednesday 16th September 2026 (scroll down for upcoming themes).

There is no charge for joining, but places are limited to ensure a good experience for all participants. Please only sign up if you are committed to attending (or to cancelling your place if your plans should change).
